2011 Regulations
We are pleased to announce details and Regulations for the 2011 Championship.
Combellack Vehicle Recyclers Ltd., Richards Bros Ltd., and TERRY GRAVES
ELECTRICAL LIMITED have all again confirmed their continued support for this
year. Unfortunately we have lost Gilletts SPAR but R& S Motors Ltd has
agreed to support the Championship this year. Many thanks to Paul Crute and his
business partner for stepping into the breach. We are extremely grateful to all
our Championship sponsors, two of whom are now entering their tenth year of
support. Their generosity and enthusiasm has ensured that the Championship
continues to prosper.
In addition to the Main championship we are again promoting the two subsidiary
Hillclimb and Sprint Championships, each with its own award structure.
Despite further increases in costs, we are able to maintain both the the award
levels and combined entry fee for all three championships for the coming year.
This year there are 16 planned events included (8 Hillclimbs and 8 Sprint
events). As usual, many of the rounds in the Cornish Speed Championship are also
rounds of the 2011 ASWMC Sprint and Hillclimb Championships so it makes sense to
also register with us if you are also planning to contest the ASWMC Championship(s)! We hope that you will, anyway, endeavour to support all events
and venues in the Championship, particularly Portreath where South Hams Motor
Club are again running two sprint meetings. Truro and District Motor Club have
also made considerable efforts to revive Hillclimb events at Tregrehan and
hopefully many competitors will feel able to support those events too.
We have made some minor amendments to the new scoring system introduced
last year. These are similar to the changes also made to the ASWMC Championship
scoring system and are explained in more detail in the notes at the end of these
Regulations. .
There is also one additional Class for 2010: the Racing Car Category has a capacity split at 2000cc. Again this mirrors the new Classes in the ASWMC Championship.
